The Street Salting in Icy/Snow Conditions is here to provide services as follows:

• Ensure that all Emergency Vehicles have clear access to Main Streets & Roads in order to maintain their mobility in icy/ snow conditions by dispersing brine and salt as needed
• Ensure safety for all drivers in North Bergen by dispersing brine and salt as needed

* Every street and road is important to our department and although we must clear main roads at first, we will provide our services to the entire township in a timely manner. Driving any type of vehicle in icy or snow conditions is extremely dangerous and although we understand that some traveling is unavoidable, we encourage safety first by asking all persons to remain indoors until the streets and roads are clear.
