Commissioner Claudia Rodriguez

Claudia Rodriguez, North Bergen’s first Latina Commissioner, is a dedicated public servant with over 30 years of experience as a legislative aide in Mayor Nick Sacco’s Senate office, assisting him with research and drafting of complex legislation, as well as handling constituent services. She joined Mayor Sacco’s Senate office in 1993, and has since gained extensive knowledge on federal, state, county, and local issues.

Born in Honduras and immigrating to the United States at 17, Mrs. Rodriguez continued her education in America by earning her degree in human services. A resident of North Bergen for over 30 years, she has dedicated her life to serving her community, and is currently a North Bergen Board of Education Trustee, President of the Library Board, and Trustee for the North Bergen Renaissance. With a lifelong passion for helping others, Claudia Rodriguez is a loving wife of over 40 years, mother of two, and grandmother of four - most of whom live in the Township.
