Kamil’s II Restaurant Brings Savory Lebanese Cuisine to North Bergen
May 17, 2024Fans of Lebanese cuisine are in for a major treat now that Kamil’s II has opened at 8227 Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen. Mayor Nicholas Sacco was on hand to cut the ribbon officially welcoming the restaurant to the neighborhood on Friday, May 17.
Owners Mohammed Abedrabbo and Kamil Barakat opened the original Kamil’s in Clifton 23 years ago, with an additional 20 years of high-level restaurant experience before that. Having been written up by the New York Times as one of the best restaurants in New Jersey, Kamil’s is a neighborhood mainstay with customers from across the region, including North Bergen, so they found a great location in what used to be Rose’s Deli and completely refurbished the interior.
All the food is made from scratch from fresh ingredients using traditional family recipes. Meat is always grilled over charcoal, with their tender and delicious chicken a particular favorite among customers. The extensive menu includes a wide selection of hot and cold appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts, drinks, and more. Seating is available inside or on a spacious outside deck behind the restaurant. Visit them online at www.kamilsrestaurant.com or call them at 201-430-4304.
Joining the mayor at the grand opening were Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Allen Pascual, Claudia Rodriguez, and Anthony Vainieri; Assemblyman Julio Marenco; NHRFR Executive Director Michael DeOrio; and many friends and family members.
