Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Township Commissioners attended the grand opening of the new Brazilian-Portuguese restaurant Goutex BBQ on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Located at 4305 Bergen Turnpike, the establishment cooks in a rotisserie over a charcoal grill, serves Perdue yellow brand meats, and rice imported from Brazil, prepared in the traditional Portuguese style.

Thiago Goulart is the owner of Goutex BBQ and also operates a meat distribution wholesaler company on 86th Street, ensuring that the meat served at the restaurant is fresh and never frozen. He is joined by his partner in the establishment, Glaywson Rodrigues.

The grand opening showcased the newly remodeled space, owned by Frank Guia, the former proprietor of Six Corners Restaurant.

In addition to the mayor the event was attended by Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Allan Pascual, and Claudia Rodriguez, NHRFR Executive Director Mike DeOrio, and Assemblyman Julio Marenco.
