The Tonnelle Avenue Bridge and Utility Relocation Project has issued the following construction update:

What: Lane closures and speed reduction for Jersey barrier installation 
Where: Tonnelle Avenue between Route 3 and 10th Street 
When: April 22 through 24, 2024: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. – southbound right lane

Speed reduction: 
40 mph to 25 mph in effect 24/7 for all northbound and southbound lanes 

(Dates and times are approximate and subject to change)

This project consists of utility relocation and the construction of a new roadway bridge to carry Tonnelle Avenue over a new railroad right-of-way (ROW) for the new Hudson Tunnel Project. This new ROW will allow for a connection to a new tunnel portal at the western slope of the New Jersey Palisades.
