North Bergen has made it easy to register a foreclosure or vacant property. You can register online through the Township website by clicking on the button labeled Register a Foreclosure in the right column under Township Links.

Township ordinance #325-17 requires that upon default by a mortgagor, the mortgagee must perform an inspection of the property to determine vacancy or occupancy, and within 10 days register the property with the Township Building Department and indicate whether the property is vacant or occupied.
