Library Presents ‘George Washington, New Jersey & The Revolutionary War’ on Zoom on June 27
June 24, 2022The North Bergen Free Public Library’s monthly series on the World Wars continues at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022 with “George Washington, New Jersey, and the Revolutionary War.” Joel Farkas will give a lecture on George Washington’s military career and the history behind the Revolutionary War in New Jersey.
During the American Revolutionary War, the New York and New Jersey campaign was a series of battles between British forces under General Sir William Howe and the Continental Army under General George Washington for control of the Port of New York and the state of New Jersey in 1776 and the winter months of 1777.
