The newest Jersey Mike’s Subs location is open for business right here in North Bergen at 88th Street and Tonnelle Avenue. Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Julio Marenco, and Allen Pascual cut the ribbon officially opening the business on Wednesday, June 8.

 

Jersey Mike’s is well-known for their quality sandwiches made with fresh cold cuts and produce. They’re also big supporters of the local community and many of their 17 employees are North Bergen students. Co-owner Joe Torres lives nearby and looks forward to partnering with the township and schools for upcoming events and activities.

 

Already the shop is doing great business in the busy location, with many customers stopping in after shopping at Walmart or BJ’s or any of the other stores in the mall – or making the visit specially for a delicious cheese steak, chipotle chicken, Jersey Shore Favorite, or their other popular options, including cookies and brownies baked fresh daily in the store.

 

Also joining in the ribbon cutting were County Commissioner Anthony Vainieri, Police Chief Peter Fasilis, NHRFR Executive Director Michael DeOrio, and other township personnel.
