About 500 people attended the North Bergen Health Department’s free Resource Fair on Saturday, May 14. Held at the Vaccine & Resource Center at 9243 Kennedy Blvd., the event featured an array of community service organizations offering information, giveaways, and services.

 

Plenty of kids visited and enjoyed the activities and gifts, with a packed face-painting area and cool freebies including gift baskets filled with toys and candies. Also available were free kitchen items, clothing, picnic baskets, a raffle, free popcorn and pupusas, and more.

 

Participating vendors included Activeday, Aesthetic Dental, CareFinders Total Care, CEUS, Hoboken Family Planning, Hudson County One Stop Career Center, Hudson Pride, Hudson Speaks, Medicaid (Department of Health / Human Services), Mental Health Association of NJ/MHA Inspire, North Hudson Community Action Corporation, Our Team Works, Paco, Palisades Family Success Center, Urban League of Hudson County, and Wellcare.

 

Attendees were able to get free blood pressure screenings, while the center provided free COVID-19 vaccines and boosters.
