A New Officer Joins the North Bergen Police Department
May 06, 2022Jennifer Vasquez, 20-year resident of North Bergen, became the latest member of the police department on May 4, 2022. Vasquez, a North Bergen High School Alumni, graduated from Kean University and was previously a 9-1-1 communications officer.
Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Chief of Police Peter Fasilis presided over the oath of office ceremony in township chambers, along with Public Safety Commissioner Allen Pascual. Pastor Steven Germoso performed the invocation and benediction. Also in attendance were the proud parents of the new officer, and representatives from the township administration and the police department.
