More Bill Payment Assistance Options Are Available
April 28, 2022Financial assistance is now available through the American Rescue Plan to help customers pay past-due electric and gas bills, even if you already receive other assistance. The application process is simple and no documentation is required. To apply, visit the DCAid Service Portal or call the New Jersey Energy Assistance hotline at 844-930-1778.
After you apply, contact PSE&G to let them know. This will protect you from service disconnection while your application is being processed. Call 800-357-2262 or e-mail vouchers@pseg.com and include your name, account number, how you applied (online, on the phone, or in person), and either the confirmation number or the agency name.
There are many other payment assistance programs available to help customers who need help paying their energy bill. More customers, including those who are behind on their bill for the first time, can now get the help they need. Income-eligibility limits have more than doubled.
