Mayor Cuts Ribbon Welcoming Wyndham Garden Hotel to NB
June 04, 2021Mayor Nicholas Sacco welcomed the Wyndham Garden Hotel to North Bergen with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The 135-room facility at 1706 Paterson Plank Road features five floors, eight presidential suites, 1,500 square foot terraces, a fully-equipped gym, a 4,000 square foot banquet space, indoor parking, and an inviting cocktail lounge with food available from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Mayor Sacco was joined by Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Julio Marenco, and Allen Pascual, County Commissioner Anthony Vainieri, Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari, Assemblypersons Angelica Jimenez and Pedro Mejia, and many other local and regional officials in cutting the ribbon for the grand opening.
The event included a tour of the beautifully appointed facility with views overlooking the Meadowlands, followed by a buffet of delicious treats from their kitchen while a trio performed live music. Owners Rohit and Raj Gaur originally planned to cut the ribbon last year but were delayed by the pandemic.
