Residential permit parking enforcement in the Township of North Bergen will resume on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020. Please adhere to posted street signs as some parking regulations have changed.

In addition, the free parking spaces in school and recreation parking lots that the township has offered since March will no longer be available. As schools make preparations to resume teaching, their parking lots will be reserved for school personnel only.

To shorten possible wait times for parking permits, the Parking Authority strongly recommends that anyone who can register online should do so.

For those who cannot register online, in-person assistance is available in the Parking Authority office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Priority hours for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The Parking Authority office is located at 4225 Bergen Turnpike. Please allow additional time when visiting the office. Face coverings, temperature checks, and social distancing are required, and only two people are allowed in the office at a time.
