North Bergen’s “Eat & Shop Local” event continues to offer new dining and shopping options to residents each weekend in August. This weekend the event moves to Bergenline Avenue between 76th & 78th Streets, closing the blocks to traffic to help local businesses that were impacted by the pandemic.
 
From 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21 until 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, restaurants and shops will expand into the street to serve customers while maintaining safe social distancing.
 
Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Board of Commissioners invite everyone to come out and enjoy shopping and a delicious meal in North Bergen’s terrific restaurants, including the following:
 

• Café Per Tutti 
• Chicken Delight  
• Gilbertos Restaurant 
• Las Chicas Bakery  
• Los Andes Bakery 
• Morazan Restaurant
• Platter King  
• Rico Rico Restaurant 
• Sweets and Cortaditos Bakery & Care
• Trova Cuban Cafe

 
Plenty of parking is available in the Bruin Stadium parking lot inside Braddock Park, or in the brand-new angled parking spots along Bergenline Avenue north of 79th Street. Please join the township in supporting our small business owners.
