Mayor Nicholas Sacco, the Township Commissioners, and County Commissioner Robert Baselice invite everyone to the North Bergen Flag Day ceremony taking place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jun. 13 in Bruin Stadium.

 

The annual event culminates in the ceremonial burning of retired American flags. Members of the North Bergen High School band/chorus will perform, and refreshments will be provided.

 

Residents with damaged or unserviceable American flags that they would like to retire can contribute them for disposal at the Flag Day ceremony. Flags can also be brought during business hours to North Bergen Town Hall at 4233 Kennedy Boulevard, the 81st Street Library branch at 510 81st Street, or the Rec Center & Library at 1231 Kennedy Boulevard.
