Registration for North Bergen’s free full-day pre-K 3 and pre-K 4 programs will open on Monday, May 4. First offered last year and expanding this year with additional seats for pre-K 3 students, these free, full-day programs provide families with a high-quality early childhood education option, along with affordable after-care services that offer significant savings compared to private daycare.

When compared to private daycare costs in the area, which often average approximately $1,500 per month per child, the district’s program represents substantial financial savings while maintaining a strong, structured early learning environment. In addition, the district offers several opportunities to further reduce costs for families, including a 20% discount for those who qualify for free and reduced lunch, as well as sibling discounts, military discounts, district employee discounts, and available subsidies.
