The North Bergen Recreation Department’s annual Easter parties just keep getting bigger and more fun every year. The Easter Bunny and friends attended both the downtown party at 4 p.m. in the Rec Center & Library and the uptown party at 6 in the Recreation Center on Thursday, Apr. 2, 2026 but that was just the start of the entertainment.

Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Allen Pascual, Claudia Rodriguez, and Anthony Vainieri greeted attendees at both sites, along with County Commissioner Robert Baselice and Housing Authority Executive Director Julio Marenco, posing for family photos in front of beautiful Easter backdrops.

Meanwhile, kids enjoyed free face-painting, balloon creations, bounce houses, a petting zoo with bunnies and chicks, live DJs, photo booth, giant robots, singing and dancing with Disney characters, and much more. A bubble show uptown allowed kids to actually climb inside huge bubbles, while mothers were treated to free flowers. Everyone took home stuffed gift baskets, chocolate bunnies and candy, and other treats.

The Recreation Department once again staged two terrific parties featuring amazing decorations and activities, with assistance from the DPW, police department, and many volunteers.
