Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Commissioner Hugo Cabrera have announced that soccer registration opens on Thursday, Jan. 22 for children ages 5 to 16 (cannot be turning 17 during the season). Must provide a birth certificate (no passports), recent utility bill, and a $35 non-refundable registration fee. Accepted payment methods include exact cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card.
 
Registration will be available Monday through Friday at two locations: the uptown Recreation Center at 6300 Meadowview Ave. (201-861-9601) from 2 to 9 p.m. and the downtown Recreation Center at 1231 Kennedy Blvd. (201-875-9130) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
