New Jersey Residents Can Get Help with Heating Bills
January 16, 2026The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides financial assistance for heating and cooling costs, including past-due electric and gas bills. The program also covers emergency heating system repairs and emergency fuel delivery.
LIHEAP and the Universal Service Fund (USF) applications are open now for the 2026 season. This program is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once funds are depleted, the program will conclude.
