Due to the holidays, there will be no garbage or recycling collection on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, or on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. If you are scheduled for Thursday pickup, your pickups will take place on Friday. If you are scheduled for Friday pickup, your pickup will take place on Saturday. Pickups on all other days remain as scheduled.

 

Street sweeping will be suspended on Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1. It will operate as usual on all other days.

 

Residential parking enforcement will be suspended starting 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and will resume on Monday, Dec. 29. Residential parking enforcement will be suspended starting 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 and will resume on Friday, Jan. 2.

 

To support our local vendors, free three-hour metered parking is available through Jan. 1. Regular metered parking enforcement will resume on Jan. 2.

 

All branches of the North Bergen Free Public Library will be closed from 12 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 23. Please call before visiting on Dec. 24 for potential early closure information. All branches of the library will be closed on Dec. 25. The 81st Street Branch and NB Rec Center and Library will resume regular hours on Dec. 26. The Guttenberg Resource Center will be closed on Dec. 26 and will resume regular hours on Dec. 27.
