Homeowners across town once again competed to out-spook one another this Halloween. There are houses so haunted even the zombies steer clear, and others brimming with friendly ghosts and their kin.

 

An even dozen homes entered the North Bergen Annual Halloween Home Decoration Contest this year and the three top winners will be announced at the Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, Nov. 1, where they will receive Visa gift cards.
