Bruin Stadium was transformed into a massive outdoor dance club on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 when Frankie Negron brought his high-energy music to North Bergen. The free salsa show attracted a large and enthusiastic crowd that knew the songs well and came ready to have fun.

Mayor Nicholas Sacco introduced the free event, which began with dance performances from two groups of colorfully costumed youngsters from NJ Dance Fusion of North Bergen. Then it was time for Frankie Negron to hit the stage with his 12-piece band including a horn section and multiple percussionists, and the dancing didn’t let up for hours.

Multiple vendors did a brisk business in food, snacks, ice cream, beer, wine, and more on the crisp fall evening in the park.

The extremely popular event was presented by the Commissioner Hugo Cabrera and the North Bergen Recreation Department. Also enjoying the show were Commissioner Claudia Rodriguez, County Commissioner Robert Baselice, Assemblyman Julio Marenco, and many other township officials, employees, and residents.
