North Bergen will be participating in the 50th annual Hispanic State Parade of New Jersey on Sunday, Oct. 5 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Dozens of floats and hundreds of participants in costumes proudly flaunting their country’s colors will join the procession as it makes its way down Bergenline Avenue beginning at 79th Street.

 

The festivities begin at approximately 1 p.m. Parking will be prohibited from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday on both sides of Bergenline Avenue along the parade route. Bergenline Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 11 a.m. It is advised that vehicles avoid the area if at all possible.
