The North Bergen Recreation Center & Library’s annual Health & Wellness Fair filled the gym with vendors and providers on Saturday, Sep. 27. A steady stream of attendees took advantage of the opportunity for free screenings, free eyeglasses, free giveaways, and free information.

 

The event at 1231 Kennedy Boulevard was cosponsored by Sri Sathya Sai International Organization and Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center, who offered consultations with specialists in various health-related fields. Many other local and regional organizations were also represented, providing checkups and testing and dispensing valuable health and wellness information and giveaways to residents.

 

Attendees were greeted by Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Allen Pascual, Claudia Rodriguez, and Anthony Vainieri, County Commissioner Robert Baselice, and Library Executive Director Sai Rao, who visited with the doctors and vendors to personally thank them for contributing to the successful event.

 

The Health & Wellness Fair offers residents valuable health and preventive care and access to services available in our area. Mayor Nicholas Sacco, the Township Commissioner, and the library are pleased to offer this annual event for the benefit of the community.
