The Coach House is a familiar landmark at 921 Kennedy Boulevard and a popular eating place for generations of residents and visitors. New owner Lester Morales is determined to keep that tradition while upgrading the menu with fine new steakhouse offerings.

 

Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Allen Pascual, Claudia Rodriguez, and Anthony Vainieri visited recently along with Assemblyman Julio Marenco and County Commissioner Robert Baselice to cut the ribbon on the newly refurbished restaurant as part of a gala celebration including music and dancers.

 

Originally from Cuba, where his family was in the restaurant business, Morales grew up in North Bergen, opening a thriving construction company and raising his family. When the opportunity arose to purchase Coach House, he jumped at the chance. He renovated the interior to give it a cozy steakhouse feel and upped the quality of food and service.

 

The old-school restaurant vibe remains with traditional breakfast and lunch offerings, plus an expanded dinner menu featuring top-end meat dishes and sumptuous appetizers, not to mention the “best cheesecake ever.” As stated on their website, “Our diverse menu caters to every palate, whether you're looking for a leisurely dinner with loved ones, a quick lunch catch-up with friends, or a solo meal at the bar.”
