Hispanic Heritage Month 2025 is underway in North Bergen with the Dominican American Parade bringing a Latin flavor to Bergenline Avenue on Sunday, Sep. 21, 2025. Commissioners Hugo Cabrera, Allen Pascual, and Claudia Rodriguez were there to help kick off the festivities at 79th Street.

Colorful costumes, elaborate floats, and vehicles laden with massive speaker systems made their way south down the street, accompanied by live bands, dancers, performers, military formations, marching bands, and much more.

Spectators crowded the sidewalks on either side of the avenue to watch the festivities and cheer on the participants.

Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, 2025. North Bergen has a full calendar of activities planned to celebrate the occasion.
