North Bergen EMS Purchases New Ambulance with Grant Funding
June 19, 2025Mayor Nicholas Sacco and EMS Director David Prina recently introduced a brand-new ambulance that is now in service for the North Bergen EMS, continuing the township’s commitment to public safety and advanced emergency care. This marks the third ambulance secured through FEMA grant funding, helping to expand and modernize North Bergen’s emergency response fleet.
The new vehicle cost $215,589, with $181,818 covered by a FEMA grant, leaving just $33,771 paid through taxpayer dollars. The upgraded ambulance features automated stair technology and updated front-end components to improve safety and patient transport efficiency.
