The Bergenline Streetscape Beautification Project is well underway, with phase one ahead of schedule. Under the direction of Commissioner Anthony Vainieri, the North Bergen Department of Public Works is doing extensive construction work and installing all new sidewalks, new curbing, new trash cans, new benches, new LED lighting, painting the light poles, and more.

The west side of Bergenline has already been completed and the east side is currently in progress, moving northwards from 71st to 79th Street.
