Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Commissioner Hugo Cabrera have announced that soccer registration is open now for children ages 5 to 16 (born after Jul. 1, 2008). Parents or guardians must bring a birth certificate, proof of address (a recent utility bill), and a $35 non-refundable registration fee. Accepted payment methods include exact cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card.

Registration will be available Monday through Friday at two locations: the uptown Recreation Center at 6300 Meadowview Ave. (201-861-9601) from 2 to 9 p.m. and the downtown Recreation Center at 1231 Kennedy Blvd. (201-875-9130) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
