Temporary Lane Closures This Week on Tonnelle Avenue
January 21, 2025The New Jersey Department of Transportation has announced that beginning 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Jan. 21, the following temporary lane closures will be in effect on Tonnelle Avenue (Routes 1 & 9) to facilitate four necessary components for the next phase of construction:
- Tuesday, Jan. 21 @ 10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Southbound right lane closed for traffic striping repair
- Wednesday, Jan. 22 @ 10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Southbound right lane closed for traffic island repair at southbound shoulder
- Thursday, Jan. 23 @ 9 p.m.-Friday, Jan. 24 @ 5 a.m. – Northbound left lane and southbound right lane closed for installation of traffic signal mast arm
- Friday, Jan. 24 @ 9 p.m.-Saturday, Jan. 25 @ 6 a.m. – Southbound & northbound left lanes closed for removal of median and installation of attenuators
The speed limit remains 25 MPH for all northbound and southbound lanes in the construction zone.
