New Traffic Pattern on Southbound Tonnelle Avenue Beginning Jan. 17
January 17, 2025The New Jersey Department of Transportation has announced a traffic pattern change on Tonnelle Avenue (Route 1&9) beginning Friday, Jan. 17.
- Southbound traffic on will be moved onto a new overpass in the area of 1801 Tonnelle Avenue.
- Northbound traffic remains unchanged.
To facilitate this change, the northbound left lane and southbound right lane will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 to 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.
The traffic pattern change is scheduled to go into effect at 10 p.m. on Jan. 17 and remain in effect until 5 a.m. on Jun. 26. The speed limit remains 25 MPH for all northbound and southbound lanes in the construction zone.
