The massive Hispanic State Parade of New Jersey launched in North Bergen on Sunday, Oct. 6. The 49th annual event featured dozens of elaborate floats; hundreds of beautifully costumed marchers, musicians, performers, and dancers; and thousands of spectators.

 

As part of North Bergen’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the parade kicked off at Braddock Park in North Bergen and proceeded down Bergenline Avenue in front of huge, cheering crowds, with many viewers clad in the colors and flags of their countries of origin.

 

Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the histories, cultures, contributions, and achievements of Hispanic Americans. North Bergen is proud to join in the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month each year and honor our Hispanic American community.
