The annual Nicholas J. Sacco Foundation 5K run will be held this Saturday, Jun. 22 at James J. Braddock Park between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. This event attracts both amateur and professional runners to raise money for local charities.

 

Starting at approximately 6 a.m. and lasting until 1 p.m., there will be road closures and restricted parking in the area.  These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of all race participants.

 

Bergenline Avenue will be closed in the area adjacent to Braddock Park, from 79th Street to 91st Street.

 

Boulevard East will be closed from 73rd Street north into Braddock Park at 89th Street.

 

Roadways within Braddock Park will also be closed.

 

Drivers are advised to avoid this area and to plan alternate routes for the safety of the race participants.
