Free Concert in Waterfront Park Will Feature ‘One Hit Wonderers’ on Friday, Jun. 21
June 20, 2024The first live concert of the season takes place on Friday, Jun. 21 when the “One Hit Wonderers” play at 7 p.m. in Waterfront Park, located at 7200 River Road.
The One Hit Wonderers feature an impressive lineup of outstanding musicians and vocal artists who bring your favorite hits of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s to life. The band members have played with a Who’s Who of rock royalty from Chuck Berry to The Who’s Roger Daltrey; from Loggins and Messina to the First Lady of Soul, Aretha Franklin; from jazz legends Wynton Marsalis, Larry Coryell and Victor Wooten to classical virtuoso Leonard Bernstein, among others.
Waterfront Park is a superb location to enjoy live music, with a beautiful amphitheater, plenty of seating, and a stunning backdrop of the Manhattan skyline as the sun goes down.
Parking will be available in the hospital parking lot. North Bergen shuttle buses will pick up residents at three locations prior to the show and bring them back after the concert. Pickups will take place at 6 p.m. at Lawler Towers located at 6131 Grand Avenue, 6:15 p.m. at 8811 Bergenline Avenue, and 6:30 p.m. at 9060 Palisade Avenue.
This free concert is presented by Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Township Commissioners and Mayor Wayne Zitt and the Guttenberg Town Council.
