The annual James J. Braddock Farmers Market is open for the season! Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Freeholder Anthony Vainieri hosted the 2018 grand opening on June 24, 2018 joined by a jazz band that entertained residents as they shopped for garden-fresh food and enjoyed the beautiful park. Fifteen vendors participated in the opening weekend and even more are expected at the next market on Sunday, July 1, 2018.
Fresh locally-sourced produce is the centerpiece of the market, but much more is available, with a rotating lineup of vendors offering everything from hot food to desserts to craft gift items. Each week features something new and exciting.
In addition there will be free cooking demos, free workout classes, free food sampling, live music, and more, so visit regularly to see what’s happening each week.
The market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday through the end of September at the Veterans Memorial near 90th Street and Bergenline Avenue.
Some of the 2018 featured vendors include Aponi Soapery, The Corn Guy, Discovery Toys, Hand Rolled Cigars, IPrint NJ, Leah Guy The Modern Sage, Modern Spin, Nolasco Farms, Occasions Cupcakery, Organic WorldUS, Park Lane Jewelry, Petunias Petals, San Filippo di’Sicilia, Second Dibbs, Usbourne Books, and Wicked Sensations.
