North Bergen municipal workers are out in the storm – the fourth nor’easter to hit our region in three weeks – clearing the streets of snow. Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Public Works Commissioner Frank Gargiulo are committed to keeping the roads in the township passable and safe, and workers will continue to clear snow throughout the storm and afterward.
Governor Phil Murphy issued a state of emergency for the entire state at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, which will last through Wednesday. The National Weather Service is forecasting large accumulations of snow across northern New Jersey.
During the inclement weather residents are urged to avoid any unnecessary driving. Please do your best to keep the roadways and street corners clear to allow the DPW and police to effectively perform their jobs.
