Students at Robert Fulton School participated in the school's first Vocabulary Parade on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017. The event consisted of students in grades 1 and 2 dressing up and representing their chosen grade-level vocabulary word as they walked on stage, spoke their word, and displayed their costumes.
“The North Bergen School District is constantly looking for innovative ways to teach students and help them reach their potential,” said Superintendent Dr. George Solter. “I commend the students, teachers, administrators and parents that helped make this Vocabulary Parade a total success.”
The event was organized by first grade teacher Ms. Graham, assisted by other first and second grade teachers. The activity provided students with an opportunity to expand their vocabulary as part of a standards-based initiative taking place at the Fulton School.
