Junior Accountant will assume responsibility for post award grant accounting thus ensuring compliance with funding source administrative guidelines, timely receipt of revenue, and accurate submission of financial reports. Is instrumental in the general application and processing of budgetary financial accounting and allocation of expenditures and revenue tracking. Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements; prepares journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger closings. Ensure that all deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards. Provides assistance to Assistant Chief Financial Officer with external audit and general ledger projects.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
B.S. in Accounting/Finance
3-4 years accounting experience/ healthcare or/and non-profit experience preferred
Grant reporting experience a plus.
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in EXCEL, MS WORD, FUND-EZ and ACCESS.
Salary: $42K - $45K
