The Hispanic State Parade of NJ will take place on Sunday, Oct. 1 along Bergenline Avenue, from 79th Street in North Bergen to 32nd Street in Union City. The parade is scheduled to begin about 11:30 a.m. and will be attended by numerous local and regional dignitaries.
The Hispanic State Parade of NJ was founded in 1976 and takes place in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month. In previous years more than 20 Latin American countries have been represented, with traditional costumes, music, and dances from each country on proud display.
Residents are advised that there will be road closures from 85th Street south along the parade route from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and plans to travel by vehicle should be made accordingly.
