The Health Department is responsible for complaints regarding no heat and infestation, garbage/debris/litter left on property, illegal dumping, animal bites, food establishment and pool inspections. Through it's Vital Statistics area, it is also responsible for issuing and providing copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates.

    Come in to apply on Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Proper documentation and witness must be present. License $28.00 - Certificates $10.00 - Corrections $25.00.

Overnight Sorters and Independent Contractors

Requirements for Sorters: Third night shift starts at 10 pm till whenever the sort is done.  Must be able to work weekends. Preferably with a driver’s license.  Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.  Must be able to work several hours standing up.  Salary starts at $9.50 an hour. 30-35 hours a week.

Requirement for Independent Contractors:
•    Business Certificate (trade name registered)
•    City hall or internet EIN letter  IRS website or by phone (you will need to be by a fax machine when you call)  
•    DMV – driver record abstract within the last 30 days
•    Insurance declaration page or certificate of liability 100K (per incident) 300K (per occurrence) – 50k property damage Lists driver/vehicle/liability limits
•    Social Security Card – If it is for “work authorization only – will need supporting documents
•    Driver’s license
•    Vehicle registration
