Failing to contact the court prior to the date on the bottom of the ticket will likely result in you having to make two court appearances.

Are there points assessed on a moving violation?

    A:

The court does not assess points, that is done administratively by the Director of the Motor Vehicle Commission. You should contact the DMV in the state where you received your license to drive with questions regarding points or the status of your driver's license.
